also removal of advanced and prototype suits seems to be more obvious route they are taking. Instead having militia, standard and tech 2 specialised suits for each race.
I'm also going out on a limp here and suggesting to not be surprized to see the removal of type 2 suits. The shield heavy? I'd assume those will be the stats for the caldari heavy for instance. The type 2 scout? Maybe ammar? |

Caldari are very tanky most of the time. They are the only race with bonuses to shield resistances on a majority of ships. They also get a lot of bonuses to range, damage, and for the most part have more mid slots than low.
Caldari EW of choice is ECM. I'm guessing flash grenades and something to disrupt active modules on tanks will come soon.
Ammar are very armor tanky. They have resistance bonuses to armor, damage for lasers, lots of bonuses to energy *so in dust I guess they will have the most stamina bonuses?* They also have more base armor hp than any other race and the most low slots. Don't be surprised to find an ammar scout with 1 mid 3 lows.
The ammar specialize in energy warfare. Maybe this will mean they can sap people's stamina.
Minmatar are active shield tanked for the most part. Now minmatar are funny becuase they have bonuses all over the place but for the most part they have more mids than lows. They can shield or armor tank most suits, but only minmatar seem to get a lot of ships with bonuses to shield repair, while caldari get shield buffer. Minmatar get bonuses to speed, the tracking speed of weapons, and alpha damage. In eve they also get to use the only weapon system other than missiles that uses zero energy to use. But I don't see how that would work into dust.
Minmatar specialize in eletronic warfare related to speed. Not only do they get the highest speed in the game but they also get bonuses to the range of webs and target painters. They can slow you down, light you up and move faster than you. Webs will be coming to dust, expect them to be most effective on minmatar dropsuits.
Gallente are the race that loves armor tanking, they get bonuses to armor repair amount. They also get bonuses to using Drones, and these are coming to dust soon. They get bonuses to Rate of fire, tracking, and drone control.
The electronic warfare the gallente deploy is based on forcing enemies ships to close range by limiting their targeting range. In Dust this might mean many things, but hopefully it means some way to defend versus long range targets. Maybe they will get mods that force reloads? |

The type 2 scout? Maybe ammar? so what about those ppl who skilled into adv and proto suits they are just screwed on that sp or will they somehow get it back? I'm sure we'll get all sp related to dropsuits back, that's how they handle it in eve online when skills change *drastically* or are removed.
Plus each level will now boost your suits, so it won't be wasted, however, with 4 races of scouts to soon to pick from I better get my sp back in the dropsuit section. It's really nonsense that CCP labeled this open beta so early. |
